About our Guest Speaker
Trudy Mkansi is the CEO of Ambesha Africa, a premium patio furniture manufacturer situated in Gauteng, South Africa. Trudy started as a one-woman business, making woven baskets and has diversified extensively, with a team now highly skilled in synthetic cane manufacturing. Through Process Engineering they cut their waste by 80% – reusing the cane off-cuts in the manufacture of new products and providing a unique trade-in service.

About our Guest Speaker
Cecilia Njenga, is an accomplished economist, urban and regional planner with three decades in the UN, government, private sector, and civil society. She is a former Chairperson of the Fetola Foundation, and current Director, Intergovernmental Support and Collective Progress at the UNFCCC supporting the Climate Change Convention and Paris Agreement.
Cecilia’s work has been pivotal in shaping environmental policies and initiatives in the southern African region and across more than 100 cities.

Isabel du Toit is the Fetola Programme Manager – Business Incubation for the Circular Economy Accelerator Programme and Youth Business International. She leverages over a decade of experience in the enterprise development space with six years specialising in the circular economy. A passionate advocate for environmental sustainability Isabel brings a unique perspective that prioritizes both economic growth and responsible environmental stewardship, through the circular economy.
