Charis Claassen is a newly appointed Asset Manager responsible for Nelson Mandela Square, one of South Africa’s premier retail destinations. With 12 years’ experience in the retail property sector, she brings strong operational insight and a results-driven approach to asset performance. Charis focuses on income growth, tenant mix optimisation, and long-term value creation, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure the asset remains resilient, relevant, and commercially successful.
About our guest
Dimitri Kokinos joined Liberty Two Degrees in 2023 as an Asset and General Manager at Sandton City, Africa’s most iconic super-regional shopping centre. Dimitri has over two decades’ experience in listed and international property and fund management, and has held senior roles at Grant Thornton, Stenham Property (UK), STANLIB Direct Property and Accelerate Property Fund, including serving as CEO of Letlole La Rona. Dimitri has led fund strategy, asset performance and major acquisitions.

Tshepo Mohlala is the founder and creative force behind Tshepo Jeans, one of South Africa’s most celebrated luxury denim and lifestyle brands. Raised in the township of Tsakane by three influential women — his mother, grandmother and aunt — Tshepo’s deep appreciation for craftsmanship, style and storytelling was shaped early in life. Inspired by their guidance and a lifelong love for fashion, he launched Tshepo Jeans in 2015, driven not just by business ambition, but by a desire to celebrate African identity through quality design and narrative.
